HURGHADA, MAIN LAND EGYPT COAST

Stretching over a large area of beach, Hurghada was the first resort to be developed for tourism in Egypt. Hurghada does not offer an especially high standard of diving and the resort itself is not especially recommended. However, at the most southerly point of Hurghada is the Oberoi hotel, the only property we work with in this area. This property is simply stunning! Ideal for those looking for a relaxing break, in one of the most luxurious hotel in the world, with the odd pleasant dive.

The resort of El Quseir and the 5* Movenpick Resort offers a tranquil setting in a beautiful hotel with excellent facilities. The diving here is all very local accesses directly from the jetty or from ribs (there is also the change to do 1 or 2 day dive safaris further afield).

The reefs in this area are amongst the most pristine to be found anywhere as a result of the very strict marine park rules enforced by Subex Dive Center. This resort is also ideal for snorkellers with some excellent reefs accessible directly from the shore.

3 hours by road south of Hurghada this is the newest development in Egypt and we feel the most exciting and best land based diving in the Red Sea! This whole coast line is one huge fringing reef of exceptional quality with new dive sites being discovered all the time. Dive sites such as Elphinstone (famous for its hammerheads!) and Dolphin Reef, previously only accessible to southern Red Sea liveaboards, can now be dived by day boats from Marsa Alam. This resort is a must!
