SEA LIVEABOARD ITINERARIES |
|
Red
Sea liveaboards itineraries cover three main areas (Northern, Southern
and Marine Parks) with varying mixtures of wreck and reef diving
demanding differing levels of experience and dive qualification.

The
Northern Red Sea itinerary
can be accessed from either the port of Sharm El Sheikh or Hurghada.
The diving is very similar from either embarkation point except
that the vessel departing from Sharm El Sheikh have access to Ras
Mohammed Marine Park and the Straits of Tiran, both exceptional
dive sites.
The
diving here is suitable for all levels of diver although we would
recommend holding the Advanced Open Water certificate with a minimum
of about 20 dives. We can arrange for the PADI Advanced course on
selected liveaboard vessels.

The
Deep South Red
Sea offers the more experienced diver access to some truly awesome
dive sites. A flight to Hurghada followed by a three hour road transfer
to the Ras Galeb (or Marsa Alam) will take you to your chosen liveaboard
diving vessel. From here the boat continues the journey south visiting
some of the more remote dive sites in the Egyptian Red Sea.
We
strongly recommend a minimum dive level of PADI Advanced with 40
logged dives. The conditions here can mean dealing with fast currents
and deep-blue diving!

The
Red Sea Marine parks consist of Brothers Island, Daedalus Reef,
Zabagad and Rocky Island .
A
seven day Marine park trip will trypically include both the Brothers
and Daedalus as well as Elphinstone Reef. With a change in the
regulations for 2002 we can now offer a wider range of Marine Park
expeditions to incude Zabagard and Rocky Island together with St
Johns reef in one week trips - this is the best yet and not to be
missed !!
A
14 night itinerary includes all the Marine Parks on the as well
as the sights of the deep south itinerary such as St Johns Reef.
We also have one week trip dedicated to the Brother Islands
- a more relaxed schedule with less travel time and night sailing's
than the full Marine Parks itineraries.
In
order to dive these special marine reserves the liveaboard vessel
have to adhere to strict rules on boat specification in order to
be granted the correct permits. Therefore these boats tend to be
of the highest standards with the most comprehensive diving facilities.
The
Marine Park dive site are spectacular, characterised by deep walls
and a profusion of marine life. Due to their remote deep water locations
they are home to a large variety of the large pelagic species such
as hammerhead and thresher sharks.
A
minimum dive level of PADI Advanced with 40 logged dives is required
for these itineraries.
