PARADISE
RESORT - PROVODENCIALES
Provo
is twice the size of Bermuda and the most developed island in the
chain, with the Northwest Wall 40 minutes away by boat, where most
of the diving takes place. A similar distance away, but offering
even better diving is the Western Wall of West Caicos - a favourite
with photographers. In many location the wall drops vertically from
12m and often has huge under hanging gardens of coral, gorgonian
sea fans and massive barrel and elephant ear sponge.
Caribbean
Paradise Inn is an excellent small hotel at Grace Bay in Providenciales
- small, romantic and beautiful. There are just 16 lovely rooms
and only a 2 minute walk on a sandy beach path from one of the 10
best rated beaches of the world; Grace Bay, a 12 mile stretch of
powdery sugar white sand and breathtaking turquoise sea. This small
and intimate Inn is surrounded by lovely landscaped tropical gardens.

TURKS
HEAD HOTEL - GRAND TURK
Grand
Turk is a sleepy little island less than 10km long and barley 1km
wide, with a few old 19th century homes converted into hotels. The
impressive vertical wall Northwest of the island is 10 minutes by
boat, and although it is possible in places to shore dive, the surface
swims are quite long, so boat entry is better.
The
Turks Head Hotel is a beautifully restored traditional old mansion
house is barely 50 feet from a beautiful sandy beach and yet within
easy walking distance of virtually all of the islands dive operations
and the town centre. It was built in 1840 as the original home of
the Islands Salt overseer and has since served as the British Governors
guest house and also, the American Consulate.
All eight of
the Hotels en-suite Bedrooms have been tastefully refurbished
and are individually furnished with genuine antiques in keeping
with the Hotel's unique history as the first Hotel in the Turks
& Caicos Islands. Many of the rooms have a private balcony with
a sea view or a private garden patio and all Bedrooms feature air-conditioning,
ceiling fans, mini-bar service, tea & coffee making facilities,
hair dryers, Cable TV and Telephones.
